I spotted this 1957 Plymouth at a local car show a few summers ago. I was drawn to how the June sunlight was striking the red paint job.
From the creative mind of designer Virgil Exner, the "Forward Look" era was born, with Chrysler's 1957 Plymouth lineup showcasing models like the Savoy, Belvedere, and top-tier Fury. Featuring elongated figures, lowered stances, and bold tailfins pointing towards tomorrow, these cars exuded a sense of movement even at rest. With their wraparound windshields, sculpted sides, and smooth silhouettes, the '57 Plymouth was truly a vision of Atomic Elegance.
